I have been thinking about what to write today as this is going to be my very first English tip here... It took me a long time to make up my mind and what I really wanted was something optimistic, positive and nice so that it could bring good luck and good vibrations to the blog. ;o)

If someone or something gets off to a flying start or makes a flying start, they start very well, very successfully.
Example: The project has got off to a flying start, with over a million dollars raised in the first week.
